I'ts a bloody architectural design problem, not engineering challenge.

Every OS supports background services, except iOS. If it ain't the bloody architecture, it ain't a problem.

By the same token, apps in iOS have problems talking to each other.

plz don't argue engineering design with me if you're not from that background.

You do not know what design is, engineering design does not make you a designer, it makes you a ENGINEER, and sorry for those who are offended... look at the ugly things you guys came up with. I really do not care how apps talk to each other...do user has a need, we will figure it out. You kept talking about background services? I do not care, because when I am not running an app, I can still get notified by people who need to contact me. As far as I know, that's good enough

You just don't quit eh?

watch YOUR language.

For your reference, [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPlfDIcjrVI"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPlfDIcjrVI[/ame]
The F word, can be used as an adjective, and has been used as one in the past. Learn2English much?

And again, for YOUR reference as a first time admin, http://bbs.comefromchina.com/forum94/thread212080.html
Disclosing personal information is against rules - what car I drive is my private information. Even if I previously disclosed that in another post it's my freedom and my choice - not yours.

For your reference, here's what wikipedia (if you don't know what that is, http://lmgtfy.com/?q=wikipedia)
Design
(noun) a specification of an object, manifested by an agent, intended to accomplish goals, in a particular environment, using a set of primitive components, satisfying a set of requirements, subject to constraints;
(verb, transitive) to create a design, in an environment (where the designer operates)

iOS is marketed as a multitasking operating system, yet by DESIGN it is very limited @ it.
Multitasking - A method where multiple tasks, aka processes, share common processing resources.
Question - which part of multi-tasking has ANYTHING to do with small window?

Which part of UI customization requires a PC? Install new launcher, Done!. Doable through android market. Oh - did you know that android didn't even need a PC to update itself? Flashy eh? Took a few major releases before assimilation.
Btw, nice data man (75%), I'd like to ask where you pulled that out of? StatsCan? So by that logic I guess 75% of Apple users don't have music on their iPhone, or has ever updated their OS prior to 5.0.1, or etc etc etc.

You brought personal preference bias into a logical discussion. Whether YOU as a user care or not is not part of the logical process, get that?

Hmm - lemme guess, you're gonna say android user experience sucks? Well let's disregard the fact that it's more popular by market share. Just show me a graph of statistical data and I'll be a believer.
How's that turning on wifi via setting/wifi for you. No insta-on button eh?

No, YOU don't get it. You have no appreciation for logic and proper engineering, let alone any experience with operating systems, processes and services.

You claimed Android is bad taste. That's wild and bold. I don't remember Jobs saying that. He regarded Android as his arch-enemy.
Do tell, what is taste? Apparently for me, anything overly used and overly popular, over price and over hyped is bad taste.

As a user I have a need to click a youtube link and select the app I wanna use to watch that video.

Set, go.

Nevermind.

All I see is "I don't care. I don't need. I don't bleh"

So much for a "discussion". Straight down the toilet pipes with your attitude towards anything.

Apparently engineers don't design. Please read that. LOL
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engineer

Last time I checked, Apple still hire Engineers to do their "design" work.

In case you might be lazy:
An engineer is a professional practitioner of engineering, concerned with applying scientific knowledge, mathematics and ingenuity to develop solutions for technical problems. Engineers design materials, structures, technology, inventions, machines and systems while considering the limitations imposed by practicality, safety and cost.
Design
Engineers develop new technological solutions. During the engineering design process, the responsibilities of the engineer may include defining problems, conducting and narrowing research, analyzing criteria, finding and analyzing solutions, and making decisions. Much of an engineer's time is spent on researching, locating, applying, and transferring information.[5] Indeed, research suggests engineers spend 56% of their time engaged in various different information behaviours, including 14% actively searching for information.[6]
Engineers must weigh different design choices on their merits and choose the solution that best matches the requirements. Their crucial and unique task is to identify, understand, and interpret the constraints on a design in order to produce a successful result.

lol man you really do not get...is any of your definition has anything to do with human? And you are really being one of those...Either iOS and Android are consumer products. Are consumers all engineers?

Which engineering piece isn't used by human?

Shit I didn't know ET existed.

Plz read that text again.

And could you PLEASE double check your grammar? If you insist on using your second or third language may I suggest to double check spelling etc? Some of that stuff you say is hard to comprehend.

are these so called engineering pieces created with human in mind, HELL no, you guys are the tools of the human society who create tools for human? And even create stuff that are not sustainable.

I have to say, most of time, they are ugly, hard to use, and I would only use it if I have to.

I know where you come from, and to help you understand better. You just have too much unnecessary proud for your field. And it is probably your personality, because most engineers are humble and do recognize and appreciate the design value, which drives engineers to make better products.

android is a perfect one,but securty.......so so so bad!

Perfect? With the nortourios ANR design from the day one?? :D:D:D

It is like people always learn computer operating system from unix, but not from windows...

android is a perfect one,but securty.......so so so bad!
