Race weekend means boost in bucks for area businesses

Ottawa Race Weekend means a bonanza of tourist dollars for restaurants and bars in Ottawa, but a new route for this year’s marathon means the economic benefits will be distributed a little differently. Businesses up and down Elgin Street near the race headquarters at Ottawa City Hall have already been packed with people, and restaurants are only anticipating more as the weekend continues.
