The Ottawa Chinese Community Service Centre is looking for volunteers in the following areas:
2 volunteer soccer referees
·Duties include refereeing two 1-hour games each week (back-to-back)
·Games are at Brewer Park (across from Carleton University)
·Games are July 5-August 23, every Thursday, 3:30-5:30pm
·Must have knowledge of soccer rules
·Previous refereeing experience preferred
·18 or older preferred
·Can be Canadian Citizen (born in Canada or outside Canada), Permanent Resident, or Refugee
2 volunteer soccer “player/coaches”
·Duties include organizing pre-game drills; playing in the game; making sure everyone touches the ball; making sure substitutions are made; making sure everyone on the team plays; answering any soccer related questions; and if your team is losing at half-time, may be called upon to give inspirational half-time locker room speech.
·Games are at Brewer Park (across from Carleton University)
