修完车的旧件归谁?

刚换了一个ALTERNATOR, 车行给我的价格是$225.修车前没提到旧ALTERNATOR归谁.同样ALTERNATOR在CANADIAN TIRE $224, 把旧ALTERNATOR退换CANADIAN TIRE还能REBATE $30 CANADIAN TIRE价格是$224-30=$194.由于我的开到车行后无法再启动,又怕买CANADIAN TIRE的件车行多收银子.
那位DX有过这方面的经验.
提醒各位注意旧件同样是银子.

That depends. Sometimes if the garage sells rebuilt parts to you, the price may include the rebate already. A responsible garage will tell you that, unless they are too busy, then they might forget.

For own protection, better ask them to keep the old parts for you. So if rebate is included in the price, they will inform you.

Could you tell me that rebuilt part is new patr or used part?

It should be the old one but being rebuilt. For alternator, I feel that those hard part (iron) is old one, and inside wire has been re-wired. So in this sense, the rebuilt one should function the same as the new one. However, my old car has alternator problem and I got it replaced with the rebuilt one in Canada tire and after two years, it died again. I don't know if it's my car has some internal problem such as short circuit or it's the quality of the rebuilt alternator. If I have known this before, I would have gone for a new one maybe.
BTW, the total charge of my car on alternator was around C$400 icnluidng labor, maybe you are talking parts only here for around C$200.

My alternator part$225, labor $65, total $290.(Some garage sold used alternator around $80, late I knew this).The garage said two years warranty, if you repalced within two years, you should contacted with Canadian Tire.
