Flames licked through the roof of a Hopewell Avenue house as firefighters moved into a defensive position in fighting a three-alarm residential fire on Sunday night. Firefighters responded to the fire at 128 Hopewell Ave. in Old Ottawa South at around 7:45 p.m. and found a two-storey house engulfed in flames.
