Son charged with murder, dad charged with trafficking appear in same Ottawa courtroom

A teenager accused of stabbing the father of an infant boy to death literally followed in his father’s footsteps Tuesday, appearing in the same courtroom as his alleged drug-trafficking dad. Ahmed Hafizi, 19, charged with first-degree murder, entered courtroom 32 the same way as his father — through a side door reserved for prisoner’s — and took a seat in the glass-enclosed box in the centre of the courtroom for the first day of what is expected to be a four-day bail hearing.
