Committee approves O-Train maintenance yard lease extension

OTTAWA — A 10-year lease extension for the city’s O-Train maintenance yard was approved Monday by council’s finance and economic development committee. The proposed extension includes renewal options for another 20 years and an option to buy the maintenance yard, something Kanata North Councillor Marianne Wilkinson suggested should be evaluated sooner rather than later since “it’s going to be quite a while before we’re not going to need this facility, and it will always have value to resell.”
