Bingo! A lie is a lie is a lie no matter where it is told. Let me push it a little bit further: is using jacket a kind of lie?

I think we are mixing two issues here. First of all, a LIE is a LIE, regardless it happens in the real world or in the virtual world. Maybe the lie has a good intention behind it; nevertheless, it is still a lie. Especially, when the other party discovers the lie, and not taking it well, that is how people get hurt, which leads into another subject-moral issue.
Human tends to make lies on a daily basis, because it is a easy way out or human nature (if I may say). I suggest that before you plan to make a lie, whether in the real world or in the virtual world, think, first, about the consequences.
Jacket? Huuuummm. This makes me thinking about people who is doing the plastic surgery.
I think jacket is just an appearance, because jacket will not change who you are, especially the way that person thinks. However, jacket is still a lie, because the intention of having a jacket is trying to mislead audiences.
