OTTAWA — Movies in the park, poetry and painting, coffee houses; you probably don’t think of such things as effective crime prevention measures. But according to Crime Prevention Ottawa, it is exactly these kinds of activities that have contributed to a significant drop in crime in three of Ottawa’s often crime-prone neighbourhoods, including Vanier, Lowertown and Pinecrest-Queensway.
