Police chief reverses appointment of anglophone to Vanier post

OTTAWA — Police Chief Charles Bordeleau reversed the appointment of an anglophone officer to the Vanier Community Police Centre Monday, after community concerns that the officer was not bilingual brought the decision under review. The current Community Police Centre officer, Marc Daviault, is set to continue in his position instead of English-speaking Mike Hunt. Bordeleau also designated the post as a bilingual position.
