Water main break closes Ottawa courthouse

OTTAWA — The trial of an Ottawa police sergeant accused of sexually assaulting a female prisoner by cutting off her shirt and bra won’t proceed Tuesday because of a water main break that shut down the courthouse. Sgt. Steven Desjourdy has pleaded not guilty to sexual assaulting the woman during the Sept. 6, 2008 incident that occurred in the Ottawa police cellblock.
