OTTAWA — Increased city funding and support from other levels of government or an infrastructure tax levy are ways the city can raise enough money to maintain its infrastructure, a report suggests. The staff report for council’s finance and economic development committee follows a recent recommendation that the city more than double the amount it spends annually to maintain aging roads, bridges, parks and buildings, from about $80 million to $165 million, within the next decade.
