Accused told police he stabbed roommate, hit him with hammer

A man accused of murder told police he had repeatedly hit his roommate with a hammer because he was worried the roommate might attack him with a sword after a confrontation, jurors heard Tuesday. The court saw video of police interviewing Toby Land the day after his roommate, Dominic Doyon, was found dead in a Lowertown apartment in May 2009 with stab wounds through his body and indents in his head.
