Death of Petawawa mother, son found in trunk was murder-suicide, Durham police say

OTTAWA — Police northeast of Toronto have closed their investigation into the deaths of a Petawawa woman and her eight-month-old son in March 2012 after determining the cause was a murder-suicide. The bodies of Andrea Damude and her son Brock were found in the trunk of her white Ford Taurus, which was parked in a farmer’s field just north of Sunderland and close to Highway 7.
