North Glengarry turns to weevils to save Loch Garry from invasive milfoil weed

OTTAWA — Forty thousand weevils have been introduced into Loch Garry in a bid to control a Eurasian milfoil infestation that threatens to destroy the lake, about 90 kilometres east of Ottawa. Loch Garry is the largest of three connected lakes that supply the town of Alexandria with its drinking water.
