An Ottawa man, who argued that an elaborate conspiracy involving “DNA thieves” led a jury to convict him of raping and murdering his sister-in-law, has been denied an appeal. Allen Tehrankari had argued in a 28-page handwritten appeal that the judge erred by instructing jurors to dismiss his evidence against an alternate suspect, which was part of a theory that he was framed.
