The professed memory loss and blackouts of a man on trial for second-degree murder are “unusual,” a psychiatrist told a jury Friday. Dr. Derek Pallandi said Toby Land’s offering slightly differing versions in interviews with police and at trial of how many times he struck Dominic Doyon with a hammer should raise questions about whether he was telling the truth.
