OTTAWA — Less than a month after 27-year-old Carleton student Krista Johnson was killed on Bronson Avenue, the university hosted a cycling safety forum Tuesday afternoon to come up with solutions to prevent further tragedies. “Their lives shouldn’t be in vain,” said Ottawa Centre NDP MP Paul Dewar. “The way this is going to change ... is that we don’t wait until the next fatality, that we focus on this, what we work together.”
