Never heard a bank would care you RSP limit while opening an RSP account.

Thanks. That is what I heard too.. Bank will not turn you down when you hand them over the $... CRA penalty is client's own business

我当年也遇到这种情况，当时比较幸运，买RRSP的保险公司把收据日期标到了下一年，所以，可以用来留在下一年报税时用。
