In 2001, Canada goverment had surveyed the post-seconday education in Canada. They ranked by departments. The results can be found Carleton News and followed as:
Chemstry No 1 in Canada
Physics No 2 in Canada
Engineering No 4 in Canada
Total paper published by faculty No 11 in Canada but the Average paper published per faculty No 1 in Canada.
The first Nobel prize winner is Professor Hursberg. This is the name of Hursberg.

It is no sense to argue which is the better, especially for the second language speakers. If you guys want to know which is better, Ask native pepole. From McDonald to TD bank, from Air Canada to Tim Hoton's.
If you want to feel by yourself, look around campus of Carleton. Read the newspaper for Carleton development for the foreseeable future. Ask yourself why Carleton has so much fundings from Canad goverment. Why native guys select Carleton rather than OU...........
