感谢您中肯的建议,想省钱,又怕麻烦,唉。
I think LZ has already made up his mind buying Japanese car, RAV4 (made in USA/Canada ?)
I think we should stick to his message "再谈美国买车"
His message is not comparing American cars vs Japanese cars.
There is one Japanese car 100 % made in Japanese (point out my mistake if I am wrong) is SUBARU. Toyota, Honda, a lot of them are now made in US or Canada. (Probably that is the reason why qualities of both have dropped....)
LZ is looking for a mid size SUV (RAV 4), and LZ has his/her reason to pick that car. Reliability, money, recommended by friends, research (articles on car tests), personal experience (say owned one before, has some kind experience of American SUV before) etc etc.
I want to remind LZ on "团购" (again, my understanding may be wrong), means you want to pool potential buyers together to buy a fleet of RAV 4? Maybe LZ should know what is the minimum number of vehicles per fleet (of the same model), and that number probably is ten. And the fleet is first owned by a company (which owns the fleet, like Taxi Company), only after six months then cars can change ownership back to individual.
If LZ is not going for a fleet, then there is not much room for saving if number of vehicles bought is 2 or 3. Also LZ probably has to pay CASH (can LZ get financing in US??). I recommend LZ walk in any Toyota dealer, ask them how much is the CASH bonus (in June/July, Nissan has 5000 Cash bonus for Altima). To the sales person, CASH means the deal is pretty firm.
Now is December, good time to buy cars, and dealers usually get volume bonus from Car manufacturers, and sales persons want to have year end bonus too. Buy your car here save you all the hassle and inconvenience (car must be inpected and tested to make sure it meets Canadian Safety standard, ...).
Just my 2 cents. Good luck LZ
