从长草抛球到球道

2012年城际杯，Brian跟我一起，与蒙特利尔两位选手同组打球。其中有一球，Brian的球打在硬地车道边的长草中，按照规则24，应该找到Nearest point of relief，一杆之内免罚抛球。当时一杆之内可以抛到fairway上，但蒙城球友不同意，我当时也说那就抛到same cut好了。根据decision 24-2b/8，其实是可以抛到fairway的。



24-2b/8 Dropping from Rough to Fairway in Obtaining Relief from Obstruction



Q A player whose ball lies in the rough close to the fairway is entitled to relief from an immovable obstruction. In obtaining relief under Rule 24-2b(i), may the player drop the ball on the fairway?



A Yes. There is no distinction in the Rules between fairway and rough; both are covered by the term “through the green”.

好案例，估计在今后的比赛中还会出现类似情况。

我觉得这个案例抛球有两个要点值得注意：

１。如何确定最近补救点（Nearest point of relief）。最近补救点是指不更靠近球洞的，离初始球位的距离最近的，在这一位置抛球后便可以实现脱困的点。这时球员自己选定下一杆击球要用的球杆，模拟站位，杆头着地的地方即为“最近补救点”。
２。如何抛球。必须在最近补救点且不更靠近球洞的一杆范围内抛球，并且抛球后球应该静止在比最近补救点不更靠近球洞的地方。

How do I establish nearest point of relief?

The nearest point of relief is the point on the course that is not nearer the hole, where, if the ball were so positioned, no interference from the condition, e.g. immovable obstruction, ground under repair, etc., would exist.

Foe example, when a player's ball lies on the fairway, under Rule 24-2 he would be entitled to relief without penanlty if he has inteference for the lie of the ball, or the area of intended stance or swing from an immovable obstruction. The player is required to take relief for all three of these elements (i.e. "complete relief"); he cannot choose to take relief from one but not the others. Thus, if his ball was on a fixed sprinkler head (an immovable obstruction), when determining his nearest point of relief he must make sure the ball is not on the sprinkler head, and the sprinkler head does not intefere with his stance or swing. He cannot tae relief simply for the lie of the ball, it must be complete relief.

In order to determine the nearest point of relief accurately, the player should use the club with which he would have made his next stroke if the condition was not there, and he would simulate the address position, direction of play and swing for such a stroke, making sure he was free of interference from the coditoin when doing so. The nearest point of relief is the point on the course that is not nearer the hole, where, if the ball was so positioned, no interference from the condition would exist.
