City committee approves proposed park and trail names

Two parks and a trail should be named after a Second World War veteran, a youth hockey booster and an ecologist, council’s community and protective services committee decided Thursday. The city was asked to name a future park at 5676 Manotick Main St. (in Rideau-Goulbourn Ward) as Major Ross W. Chamberlain Park, based on a commemorative naming application submitted by Minto Communities Inc.
