Demand for tap-and-go Presto transit fare-payment cards was so strong on Friday that they’ll no longer be offered online, say city staff. Around midday, OC Transpo met its goal of distributing 5,000 cards — half the amount being offered in a trial expansion of the project — through the Internet, said transit services general manager John Manconi.
