Scholarship honours former Canada Safety Council employee

A new scholarship has been established in honour of Sarah Beth Therien, a longtime employee of the Canada Safety Council and a passionate advocate for child and traffic safety. Therien was 32 years old in 2006 when she died of sudden cardiac arrest. She made medical history that year when she became the first Canadian organ donor after cardiac death. Hundreds of lives across Canada have been saved due to her medical legacy.
