Plans for a large Stanley Cup monument at Rideau Street and Sussex Drive have been abandoned, but proponent are set to announce a new site next month. OTTAWA — Plans for a “grand scale” monument at Rideau Street and Sussex Drive to commemorate the donation of the Stanley Cup in 1892 have fallen through.
