"A 2 point octane difference is very minuscule to say the least. IF and this is a big IF, you are going to put better gas in your car, either use PREMIUM or regular, mid grade is a waste of money. I've been a mechanic for over 20 yrs, and I promise you'd be better served to just add a bottle of gas treatment (cost $1) every five or so fill-ups. This will keep your fuel system clean and give you a slight octane boost. So to answer your question, 89 octane is not worth the extra money, not for that car, it isn't going to make it last any longer. A better strategy would be purchasing your fuel from quality gas stations, like Shell (their fuel has cleaners built into it to provide extended engine life and less wear overall over time). Also never get gas from a station that doesn't do much business, the gas is likely to have been sitting around in the tank at the station forever and gets impurities in it"

还有这个“Using higher octane fuel will actually do no good for the car and generally make it run more poorly in the winter and while the engine is warming up.
Using high octane fuel in a low compression engine can lead to coking problems. Higher octane fuel is harder to ignite (that's what makes it higher octane!) and so will run poorly when the engine is cold.”
我觉得设计加什么油就加什么油,有人会说多一点马力什么的,但是那一点点马力感觉不到,又不是天天把马力发挥到极致。。。
