Roadwork begins on LRT with disruptions staggered over the summer

Traffic disruptions begin this week as the first phase of Ottawa’s light-rail transit project gets underway. Work began Tuesday to build two new bus lanes on portions of Laurier Avenue and Nicholas Street, which will eventually redirect buses off the transitway while crews dig out the eastern portal of the underground portion of the LRT.
