The police unit responsible for investigating homicides has taken over the investigation into the stabbing of Michael Wassill, the Citizen has learned. The 21-year-old Orléans man stabbed in the neck last week while he was trying to protect a friend suffered “irreversible brain damage” and was not expected to live, his family told the Citizen Tuesday morning.
