Ottawa group to receive $200K to combat human trafficking

A new pilot project to protect vulnerable girls and women targeted for sexual exploitation or human trafficking is coming to Ottawa. While the capital may seem like an unlikely hot spot for the crime, Status of Women Minister Rona Ambrose said the practice “exists everywhere in this country, in every city. It’s very real and it’s here in Ottawa,” she said.
