I got a new 2003 Honda CR-V last month. It is EX,5 speed. I checked the price on website for many kinds of SUV when I chose models. But I think Jeep Liberty (V6-3.7L) is more expensive then CR-V EX. At that time I just focused on 4x4, maybe 4x2 is cheaper, but I think that price should be similar to CR-V. What is more, what option do you need? I think CR-V EX includes everything except moonroof, leather chairs and hard spare tire cover.

The styles of Liberty and CR-V are totally different, maybe you perfer that style. I noticed the gas efficiency, Nissan XTerra(3.3L) 5-speed is about 14L, maybe Liberty(3.7L) consumes more, I just guess. Anyway, your finance rate and warranty are pretty good. Enjoy your new SUV!!!

What I got is 4x4, automatic (I don't drive manual), V6-3.7L Rockey Mount Edition with moon roof, half leather seat (Rockey Mount Edition doesn't come with full leather seat), ABS, CD changer and almost everything. It is less than 32k before tax.

My CR-V option is hardrock special edtion includes EX option, roof rack, bicycle attachment, hardrock bicycle(market price: $524), hood protector, security system, cargo tray and ... The total price $ 33,100 after tax. Maybe I am lucky because I got a special price.

Again, I believe you can get a full-loaded CR-V (with sunroof and leather seats) with your price after bargain with dealer. However, the question is: which style do you prefer to? Some people don't like CR-V.

So after all, it is the money that matters? Personally, I like the look of Jeep Liberty. But the fuel Economic is a bit too high for my taste. (City:14.52/100 ; highway:11.62/100, regular fuel recommend).
However, if you can live with that fuel consumtion, it's a good choice. Good luck and enjoy your new car

I checked the price again, you will get auto, sunroof, leather seats(full leather, not half) and others what you want if you choose EX with leather options, that is the top level in CR-V. I checked the price again, you will get auto, sunroof, leather seats(full leather, not half) and others what you want if you choose EX with leather options, that is the top level in CR-V. The MSRP is $32400. You still bargain with the dealer, usually you may get about $1600.00 discount, so the final price is similar to your current one.

You have to add Freight/PDI as well. $32400 is basic MSRP without options and Freight/PDI. The total price before admission fee and tax will above 34K.
BTW, the other thing I like for Jeep is its 17" wheels.

You have to add Freight/PDI as well. $32400 is basic MSRP without options and Freight/PDI. The total price before admission fee and tax will above 34K.
BTW, the other thing I like for Jeep is its 17" wheels.

You can bargain to save at least $1600.00 which can cover everything you mentioned above. If you said you like 17 inch wheel, it is another story.

It was said that the gas consuming will be 11.9L/9.0L. But anyway, it is higher than most Japanese cars. I need to try to drive as little as possible. :blink:

To be honest, you can never reach that, maybe that is for Liberty I4-2.4L. My CR-V I4-2.4L can match 11.9/9.0 standard, for V6-3.7L liberty, you had better prepare for accepting more than 15.0/12.0L, I am not kidding. You know regular Cherokee is 4.0L, your drive is only 0.3L less than that.

Anyway, you are happy if you like it, it is very powerful and hard like rock, you will find you drive a tank.
