Fundraising walk reminds that AIDS/HIV remains a deadly disease

More than 3,500 Ottawans are HIV positive, but a quarter of them don’t know it yet. That haunting statistic, coupled with the fact that one person is infected with the virus that causes AIDS every two hours in Canada, enticed hundreds of people to gather in the Marion Dewar Plaza at City Hall Saturday evening for the annual Scotiabank AIDS Walk For Life.
