Apparently the chef is very famous, their 猪脚 also famous, but a Chinese friend told me it's not that good(compare to Chinese 猪脚) . Hugh portion, u may need to "doggie bag" .

When I said reserve early, I was referring to their Cabane a Sucre in the 2nd link (their 2nd restaurant located outside Montreal). Apparently it was quickly sold out this past Spring. I don't know if u need to reserve at their Montreal Restaurant.

As for French restaurants in Montreal:
- Le Express is famous but expensive http://www.restaurantlexpress.ca/ (may be same price range as 猪脚 above?!)

Aux Petit Extra is worth the try. Apparently in the old days, many prostitutes walking about in that area in evenings. Police chased them away already. Now just a poor area, not sure if any prostitute. Go for Lunch or go in GROUP in evening. Don't walk about there by yourself in the dark, that's all. No gun or knife.
