I got my PR in late 2001, however, for some personal issues I didn't live in Canada till now(ie. June, 2003).
I am looking for jobs now and most of them need candidates to hold security clearances. I'm lucky cause one recruiter company would like to apply it for me. Now, here comes the problem...
In order to apply security clearance, I have to fill in the excat time and places I've lived within the past 10 years. I was "supposed to" live in Canada since late 2001. Well, but in fact I didn't. I lived in my hometown instead. So how can I fill in the form? Do people who are in charge of "security clearance" have relationships with Immigrantion Bureau?
I know, it's quite complex. Hope someone who knows very much about "security clearance process" can provide me any suggestions. Many Thanks.

just do not lie if u want the job.
if you have the maple card. you are ok. otherwise. CIC might interivew you to see if you can keep your status

RCPM will check your background, don't you ever think of shitting them, they are something like FBI, they can get whatever info from other Canadian government ministries.

10 years background check, it seems that the agency is applying secret level clearance for you, which is only available to Canadian citizens. You are not going to qualify anyway, so don't even worry about lying on the application.

The agency is suspicious too. They should know the basic qualifications to all levels of clearance. By the way, a lot of agencies promise to apply security clearance for job seekers but never really do. So until you see the file number of your security clearance, don't count on it.

Sorry I made a mistake...The form the agent asked me to provide is "5 years background check". So back to my case, is the check have anything to do with CIC? Many thanks...

level 2. 要10年的,要加拿大公民。
肯定拿不到。
level 1. 看运气。

Nothong to do with CIC, but don't lie, it will get you into trouble soon or later.

最好如实填写, 一来这个检查和移民监没什么关系, 没有必要隐瞒; 二来, 政府工作一般都要做安全检查, 所以没准你的代理公司给你找个在移民局的工作, 你小心穿帮.
