PGA of Ottawa Special Awards
Special awards were then presented to PGA of Ottawa members who had been nominated by their fellow professionals.
The PGA of Ottawa Assistant Professional of the Year Award was won by Martin Bertrand from the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club. Also nominated in this category were Chateau Cartier’s Alexandre Rousseau and Royal Ottawa’s Marc Rouse.
The PGA of Ottawa Junior Leader of the Year Award was won by Marc Rouse from the Royal Ottawa Golf Club over fellow nominees Dan Lougheed from the Ottawa Hunt and Kevin Haime from the Kevin Haime Golf Centre.
The PGA of Ottawa Merchandiser of the Year Award went to Buckingham Golf Club’s Eric Robillard over Royal Ottawa’s Paul Carrothers and Hyland’s Rob Lindsay.
Nike’s Mike Doyon was the winner in the PGA of Ottawa Sales Rep of the Year over Acushnet’s Gavin Corbeil and Fletcher’s Keith Riley.
Colin Orr from the Ottawa Athletic Club took home the PGA of Ottawa Teacher of the Year Award over Champlain’s Michel Dagenais and Joe Dubinski from the 19th Tee.
The PGA of Ottawa Head Professional of the Year Award was won by Gord Percy from the Carleton Golf & Yacht Club. Also nominated in this category were Kanata Golf Club’s Scott Johnson and Derek MacDonald from the Brockville Country Club.
