[问题] 吃 Buffet 是否该给小费?

当然不给了，那么差的菜，也没有什么服务，给个屁！

正式餐馆waiter/waitress的服务有很多内容，比如推荐菜单，进餐过程中的几次问寒问暖，而"倒水，收拾盘子" 只是其中一部分。Buffet的waiter/waitress的服务相对于正式餐馆的服务，少得多。当然，Buffet的waiter要比MC的busboy内容多一些。

本地习惯是Buffet的小费可以付，也可以不付，如果确实提供了一些服务，就付一些，但比正式餐馆要低，一般 5%

Usually tips for buffet is 10% and tips for normal restaurant is 15%.
Of course, you can also pay other amount depend on the service they provided.

Yang Ming Lou's service is called service??????
I gave 15% to 20% at some where else. but Yang Ming Lou Buffet, no way. The watress and waiters there are kind of dumb or sth. if there is better chinese buffet in ottawa, I will never choose them.

I think it is common problem that service of chinese restaurant here is bad. the restaurants opened by Canadians or sb else are much better. nowadays. I prefer to westen restaurant more and more.

i think it is kind of bad circulation. Chinese goes to chinese resaurants, they give few tips. and service goes bad. then people used to give much tips also got bad service, so they refuse to give too much tips. then service goes even worse. finally, people give few tips and get bad services.

我同意上面的说法。我曾为这个问题问过本地人，他们普遍认为Buffet的小费比正式餐馆的要少，而且本地没有法例要求一定要给小费，这只是一种社会习惯。

我在扬名楼就见过两老外不给小费。

don't leave while not finishing eating, or at least let your server know you'll be back.
How can he (she ) know you still need the plate while nobody around the table??????????????????????????????

but how can u do that especially in the summer time?
if it's in winter then it's ok,u can leave ur jacket or ur coat to inform them u r still here.
in ur words,do u mean that i should tell them each round when i'm going to take the food? i think if they can open the buffet,then they should imagine my friends' situation. And from what my friends told me,each time they didn't take a lot of food.
