Of course you don't need to buy their detergent. Actually, when I once rent the machine, the staff told me she did use 'Mr clean" instead of the expensive Loblaws detergent. So, I only bought one botthle all purpose Loblaws detergent. And I also used Mr. Clean to clean the carpet. In my opinion, Mr. Clean is better...

Another question, what kind of Mr. Clean do I need to buy for the vacum? Because I am cleaning the whole apartment, bedrooms, dinning room, etc,the whole thing, is one bottle of Mr. Clean is enough? (the bottle seemes so small...) or do i need to mix it with Lawblaw's detergent? and how long would it take to dry out? Sorry I have some many questions, it's my first time cleaning the carpet. :blowzy: Thanks in advance for yor answers

The steam vaccum sucks the water and dirt out of the carpet, so it shouldn't take more than a day or two for the carpet to completely dry out. Of course this should also be adjusted according to the weather condition.

I'd actually recommend a carpet cleaner that goes with the steam vaccum. Mr. Clean is a household product mainly used on hard surfaces like ceramic tiles, vinyl flooring and sometimes laminated floors.
