Watson will seek re-election in the fall

Surprise, surprise. After nearly four years of occupying the mayor’s chair at Ottawa City Hall, Jim Watson says he wants to keep his position. “I will officially register for re-election on Monday,” he said Sunday with postings on his Facebook and Twitter sites. “In politics, you can either run on your record, or you can run from it.” Municipal elections in Ontario are Oct. 27.
