It has blue tooth. You can download Torque app on your smart phone or tablet to connect with it, very convenient. Other than reading information, checking error code on-line automatically, you can also clear/reset error code.

Yup, that's what I do now.
Thought the blue tooth one has a lot of fancy features, but end up with “You get what you paid for.” Lol

Our shop has a $10 machine, also a $10k machine.
End up reading the same engine light code.

For leisure use, don't need fancy stuff.

Sounds like a blue-tooth issue. Not sure if you are using the same model as mine. You can find a number of videos on youtube.com to explain the usage of ELM327 interface with Torque app. I have no issue so far.

每次连接都需要去设备管理器里面看PORT的号码然后选择，这点很不方便。我用的时候一般删掉那个蓝牙设备，然后再添加，查看PORT，就连上了
