Alcohol believed to be factor in single-car crash

Police believe alcohol was a factor in a single-car crash in Val-Des-Monts on Sunday afternoon. MRC Des Collines police said a 55-year-old Val-Des-Monts man was driving a Ford Focus south on Carrefour Road, near Paiement Road, just after 4 p.m. when it crossed over the opposing lane, hit a recycling bin and snowbank, then crashed into a hydro pole.
