Bail denied to Ottawa real estate agent accused of attacking wife

OTTAWA — An Ottawa real estate agent accused of trying to kill his wife by hitting her in the head with a baseball bat has been denied bail. Chris Hoare is charged with attempted murder in connection with an attack on his wife in the garage of the couple’s home on St. Lucia Place in Orléans on April 2. A neighbour called 911 after hearing a woman scream for help. He saw her lying in the driveway of the modest home, her head bloodied. A man was standing over her.
