A 19-year-old man was stabbed near a McDonald's restaurant in Barrhaven during a mugging on Sunday night.

It happened at about 10:15 p.m. on a path near the restaurant at 3340 Fallowfield Rd.

The victim managed to run into the restaurant and ask staff to call 911, a McDonald's spokesman said.

When paramedics arrived, they found a 19-year-old man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
