Ottawa – The City of Ottawa, in partnership with Bell Canada, will honour 11 young residents for their quick thinking, bravery and good judgment during emergency situations at the 16th Annual 9-1-1 Children’s Achievement Awards.
To present the awards, Mayor Jim Watson will be joined by Councillor Mark Taylor, Chair of Community and Protective Services Committee, and Councillors Stephen Blais, Eli El-Chantiry, Rick Chiarelli, Diane Deans, Steve Desroches, Mathieu Fleury and Katherine Hobbs. Also participating in the event are John deHooge, Chief, Ottawa Fire Services, Jennifer Bionda, Deputy Chief, Ottawa Paramedic Service, Mike Flanagan, Inspector, Ottawa Police Services, and Pierre Poirier, Chief of Security and Emergency Management.
