Someone in Ottawa is $32 million richer after a winning the Lotto Max jackpot last week. Here are just some of the things they could buy with that kind of money.
6,400 burgers — really good burgers: The “FleurBurger 5000” made in Las Vegas is one of the most decadent burgers in the world and it comes with a hefty $5,000 price tag. The burger is made from Kobe beef and comes adorned with foie gras, black truffles on a brioche bun and is served with a bottle of Petrus. If you wanted to be more frugal, you could buy every item on the menu at The Works or Hintonburger.
914 tins of caviar: If a $5,000 burger wasn’t fancy enough, you could purchase several hundred tins of Almas caviar, priced at roughly $35,000 and referred to as “black gold.” The delicacy is made from the eggs of an Iranian Beluga fish, a rare albino sturgeon that can be found in the Caspian Sea.
12 posh cars: Wake up in a new Bugatti Veyron, a luxury sports car that can hit top speeds of 400 km/h and has an estimated price of more than $2.5 million. Renting a track where you can drive your car at that speed will cost you extra, however.
42,000 bitcoin: Invest your millions in the virtual currency, bitcoin, which is “mined” from computer transactions. The current exchange rate is hovering between $650 and $700 for 1 bitcoin. Earlier this year, an ATM for bitcoins was installed at Clocktower Brew Pub.
