Ottawa police are hoping people won’t bump into two deer on the loose somewhere in the eastern part of Sandy Hill.
They’re asking vehicles to stay out of the area of the Cummings Bridge, Range Road, Chapel Street and Rideau Street, though roads are not actually closed.
If you have to drive or walk there and see deer, they ask that you just avoid the animals and not frighten them until they have a chance to wander back wherever they came from.
The area is close to Rideau River, and animals do wander along the corridors of green space by the city’s rivers.
The good news: No moose in sight.
