An overnight fire at the former Overbrook public school caused an estimated $50,000 in damages, according to Ottawa Fire Services.
Fire officials reported smelling smoke coming from the three-storey structure at 149 King George St. when they arrived on scene.
The fire was doused soon after.
Officials said no one was inside the building at the time of the fire and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The building has been under renovation.
