Ottawa –Assembly of the new Coventry Road pedestrian bridge has been delayed due to the inclement weather forecast. Construction will now begin on Thursday, June 19.

Prefabricated sections of the bridge will be hoisted in place onto the four concrete piers completed last year.

This work will result in short term closures of Highway 417 and Tremblay Road on the following dates:

Thursday, June 19 –Tremblay Road will be closed in the early morning, between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Highway 417 will remain open.

Friday, June 20 – Highway 417 eastbound will be closed for periods of up to 15 minutes in the early morning, between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. The Highway 417 eastbound on-ramp from Riverside Drive will also be closed during this period. Highway 417 westbound will remain open.

Saturday, June 21 – Highway 417 westbound will be closed for periods of up to 15 minutes in the early morning, between 1 a.m. and 4a.m. Highway 417 eastbound will remain open.

Monday, June 23 – The Highway 417 westbound off-ramp to the Vanier Parkway will be closed in the early morning, between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Highway 417 will remain open.
