An Ottawa man is to appear in court Thursday in connection with a wave of four bank robberies in the city’s west end.
Dustin Jackson, 34, was arrested Wednesday following a police call for public assistance. He faces four counts of robbery.
The original call for assistance was in connection with two robberies.
On Tuesday, two more robberies were added to the list.
First, at about 6 p.m., a man entered a bank branch in the 500 block of Hazeldean Road in Kanata. He handed over a note demanding cash. No weapon was seen and he fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
At about 7:40 p.m., a suspect entered another bank in the 400 block of Hazeldean Road, again presented a note demanding cash.
The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash.
There were no injuries stemming from any of the robberies.
