Sinkhole closes part of Quebec highway 148

A section of highway 148 between Luskville and Quyon is closed in both directions because of a large sinkhole.

Workers are operating heavy machinery on site to dig out a culvert next to the hole, which initial reports suggest is up to 10 metres wide and 30 metres deep.

Police on the scene are reportedly directing traffic to highway 105.
