The hot, muggy weather is once again creating ideal conditions for severe thunderstorms to develop in the Ottawa Valley.
Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch Wednesday afternoon for early afternoon to evening in Renfrew, Arnprior, Calabogie, Petawawa, Pembroke, Cobden, Barry’s Bay and Killaloe.
Storms could produce strong wind gusts and large hail, both of which can cause injuries or damage to property.
As usual, people should exercise caution and find cover or stay indoors if they see threatening weather approaching.
